Park People welcomes Anna Hill

Park People, the Toronto alliance for better parks, welcomes their New Coordinator, Community Outreach and Neighbourhood Parks,  Anna Hill

We’d like to introduce you to our new Coordinator, Community Outreach and Neighbourhood Parks, Anna Hill. She’ll be working for us 3 days a week starting February 29. Anna brings great experience with our local parks and fantastic positive energy for improving Toronto’s parks.
For two decades, Anna has worked in community development and design in Toronto and Los Angeles.  For the last six years, Anna has been Co-Chair of Friends of Trinity Bellwoods Park in Toronto.  In her role as co-chair, Anna has contributed to various park initiatives including spring and fall Park Days, a tree audit, an adopt-a-tree program, new playground equipment and the Trinity Bellwoods Farmers’ Market.  She also coordinates the park greenhouse and co-chairs regular community meetings.

Prior to moving to Toronto, Anna worked as an architect in Los Angeles.  While at the firm of Marmol Radziner, Anna was involved with the programming and design phases of various community projects including a K-12 school, a child care centre, and an environmental learning centre.  While in Los Angeles, she also worked as an urban arts activist, creating installations that highlight the importance of public space and the need for better public transportation.

Please welcome Anna!
